In light of all that's happening in the world today, it's obvious that we are now living in the age of the collapse of civilization. And although there are many wars going on around the world, the one that the world is almost exclusively occupied with is in the Middle East, where once again, the prophets of Islam are calling for the complete annihilation of Israel. Well, why should we Christians care? I'd like to relate an incident we had during a prayer meeting in our house in Melbourne Australia in 1967. We were all praying fervently when the Holy Spirit suddenly uttered the most unusual prophetic word we'd ever heard. The Spirit said, "My children, you do not know you should pray for as you ought. Pray for my people Israel, for they will stretch out their hands toward Me for help & I will hear them." We didn't follow the news back then & had no idea that the 6 day war was about to take place. And Israel did 'stretch out their hands to God" & God heard them & gave them a decisive victory over a coalition of Arab states. But now its the "Prince of Persia" who vows to eradicate Israel (again), & we Christians must be praying earnestly for Israel's well-being. No Christian can ever by anti-Semitic since through them we've been blessed with the patriarchs, the prophets, the Evangelists, the apostles & our very Savior the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Do we want God's blessings? Then let's never forget to pray for both the physical & spiritual salvation of Israel. Thus all your enemies shall perish, Lord, Thus all your enemies shall perish, Israel, But may they who love Him be like the rising sun in its strength! Judges 5:31
