Smash Palace - TURNAROUND 1994
The band that never was. In 1993 my old friend and drummer Pete Holmes paid me a visit from LA after Black n Blue had stopped recording and touring. Over a few beers I played him some of my original material. He took the tape back and played it for Mark Behn ( Malace, Monster) who then invited me down to LA to record with Producer/engineer Pat Regan. This little collage goes from our first rehearsals to pre-production at 3E/ Third Encore in Hollywood to several different recording sessions to our photo shoot with legendary photog Neil Zlozower. Along with Rick Monroe on vocals and Mark Zimmerman on Keys, over the course of a several months we recorded 7 of my songs. This one is called "Turnaround".
