Ohio Players co founder Marshall Jones' hypothesis on band being black balled
Over the decades many people have asked why a band that recorded 3 platinum albums in a row never received a Grammy award, for any of those projects. Except one award for an album cover. 3 platinum albums in a row. And the only thing they got recognition for from the Grammy awards was for the packaging art. Let that sink in. A band that so many legendary recording artist, and even current artist have openly stated was a major influence on their own growth and development, have yet to be even nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. This is a clip from Ohio Players co founder and bass player Marshall "Rock" Jones and I recording his autobiography, "Ohio Players In The Line Of Fire."
