Uriah Duffy on the U•BASS

Uriah Duffy is an internationally-acclaimed bassist from the United States, having performed and recorded with the likes of Alicia Keys, Whitesnake, Sly & the Family Stone, and Tony Toni Toné, as well as his California progressive-rock outfit Points North. Uriah is revered in the bass community for his versatility, groove and dexterous playing. In 2017, Uriah stopped by our booth at Bass Player Live! and commanded the room with this memorable jam on the California U•BASS®. Remarkably, this was his first time picking up a U•BASS® set-up with the metallic round wound strings. He'd previously played the U•BASS® only with its traditional "rubber string" set-up. To date, we have never seen someone approach the instrument in quite the same way as Uriah. His command of the fretboard with tapped chord voicings and light, confident touch on the instrument makes this one of our favorite displays of talent on the U•BASS® of all time.
