2009 Peugeot 107 1.0 12V (68 HP) | 0-100 Acceleration Test
🎥 2009 Peugeot 107 1.0 12V (68 HP) | 0-100 & SURVIVAL STAGES | Joe Black Welcome to a reality check of an agile urban subcompact — the 2009 facelifted Peugeot 107, powered by a 3-cylinder 1.0-liter engine producing 68 HP, which we bought for just 1,000 euros with 182,000 kilometers on the clock. Let's see if this lightweight, front-wheel-drive hatchback equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission can still efficiently navigate the jungle of modern streets and successfully pass our ruthless driving STAGES! 🔥 STAGE 1: THE DYNAMIC REALITY CHECK Peugeot officially claimed a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 13.7 seconds for this proven, one-liter engine of Japanese design. How much of that initial dynamics is left in the car after covering 182,000 kilometers? **My Dragy measurement (0-100 km/h): 14.8 seconds!** 📉 (A slight loss of just 1.1 seconds compared to factory data! The very low curb weight of the vehicle perfectly compensates for the modest 93 Nm of torque. Outcome: The car still pulls away surprisingly dynamically from traffic lights in the city, but it runs out of breath very quickly on expressways). ⛽ STAGE 2: THE EFFICIENCY CHECK **Joe Black Fuel Consumption Test: 6.2 l/100 km.** ⛽ (The manufacturer promised excellent average fuel consumption in the combined cycle at 4.5 l/100 km. In my tests, the need to maintain dynamics in today's traffic required frequent use of the 3-cylinder engine's full rev range, which pushed the result up to 6.2 liters. Despite this, the 107 remains extremely wallet-friendly!). 👇 Full specs, prices, and production details below! --- ### ⏰ VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS • 0:00 Intro • 0:15 Exterior Walk-around • 1:10 Engine Start (The sound of the 3-cylinder 1.0 12V after 182k km) • 1:40 Bumpy Road Test • 2:30 Casual Driving • 6:30 Highway Performance (The struggle to reach highway speeds) • 8:00 Casual Driving • 9:00 Acceleration Test (0-100 km/h — Dragy Reality Check!) • 9:35 Casual Driving • 12:10 Powertrain Overview • 14:30 Fuel Consumption Test --- ### ⚙️ VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS (Tested Unit) • Brand: Peugeot • Model: 107 (3-door / Facelift) • Model Year: **2009** • Mileage: **182,000 km** • Body Style: Hatchback (A-Segment) • Fuel Tank Capacity: **35 L** • Model Production Period: **2005–2014** • Assembly Location: 🇨🇿 Kolín (Czech Republic) #### 🚀 DRIVETRAIN • Engine: **1.0 12V (Naturally Aspirated Petrol)** • Engine Layout: **Front, Transverse / DOHC** • Cylinders: **Inline 3-cylinder (I3)** • Displacement: **998 cm³** • Power: **68 HP** (50 kW) @ 6000 rpm • Max Torque: **93 Nm** @ 3600 rpm • Transmission: **5-speed Manual** • Drive: **FWD** (Front-Wheel Drive) #### 📊 PERFORMANCE & PRICE • 0-100 km/h (Factory): **13.7 s** • 0-100 km/h (Joe Black Test): **14.8 s** 📉 (A 1.1s dynamics drop) • Top Speed: **157 km/h** • Fuel Consumption (Factory Mixed): **4.5 l/100 km** • Fuel Consumption (Joe Black Test): **6.2 l/100 km** ⛽ • Current Market Value: **~1,000 EUR** 💶 --- ### 🎬 PRODUCTION DETAILS • Driver: Joe Black • Video Equipment: **GoPro Hero 12 Black + DJI Osmo Action 6** • Editing Software: MacBook Pro / Final Cut Pro X • Performance Measurement: GPS Performance Meter / Dragy • Video Format: First-person perspective (POV 4K) & STAGES. 🗣️ FEEDBACK: Is a €1000 Peugeot 107 the perfect choice for food delivery or as a first car?
