Leston Paul - March 10, 2021 - Anthony’s Cari-Jazz Artiste of the Day Leston Paul is a musical arranger, producer, composer and keyboardist from Trinidad and Tobago. He is one of the most in-demand music producers and arrangers in the Caribbean. In 1983 Leston Paul recorded his debut album, ‘The Arrival.’ This album is rare and a definite collector’s item. While he started on the road to being one of the Caribbean’s most sort after arrangers, and producers, Leston produced his next album from the bedroom of his apartment in St. Augustine, where he set up the first home recording studio in Trinidad. Here he produced his next album ‘Keys To The City’ in 1987, which was completely done on a computer and showcased the potential of electronic music production. The track ‘Everyday Life’ is still very popular with DJs and electronic music enthusiasts. Leston has produced more than twenty thousand recordings as well as arranged and produced over 3000 songs.
