DD Studio Sessions: Sebastian Gaskin x Boogey the Beat [Wrinkles]
"I took a listen and I thought, 'Wow, who is this kid?'" Once upon a time, Anishinaabe DJ/producer Boogey the Beat got a random email from an emerging R&B artist who had laid some vocals over one of his tracks. A few years later, Boogey and singer-songwriter Sebastian Gaskin are not only frequent collaborators, but the best of friends. On the latest episode of DD Studio Sessions, their synergy is on full display at Exchange District Studios in Winnipeg. Starting with only the skeleton of a song, they team up with engineer Grant Trippel to create a tender and intimate recording of Sebastian's song, 'Wrinkles.'
