Black Hebrew Israelites vs. Israel
The Beth Israel community is made of up African Americans who moved to Israel in the 1970s. They believe they are descendants of the lost tribes of Israel that fled in the 6th century BCE from Babylon after the deconstruction of the First Temple. This community believes a site near the Dead Sea tells us where the biblical Jerusalem once stood, and they are fighting for this site to be recognized by the government.
