Early HD videos
Early HD videos, some are from the late 80s, most are from the 90s and early 2000s (before 2005, before Blu-Ray and HD DVD) There are no digitized videos from film here, nor was film involved in their production; they were all digitized from either tape or laserdiscs, they don't have film grain Many are from Olympic games, NHK broadcasted in Japan through satellite, Olympic games and other programming in HD in the 90s Many of these videos were made with the Sony HDVS system which was the only commercially available system that allowed for HD video production in the late 80s and most of the 90s, with analog signals, at a native resolution close to that of Full HD with 1035 interlaced horizontal lines of resolution (1035i), but the videos here are from W-VHS, D-VHS, or HDVS or MUSE Laserdiscs, with some directly from HDVS reel to reel, HDCAM and DVCPRO HD Sony introduced its digital successor, HDCAM in 1997 which used square pixels and resolution close to Full HD and Sony's main compe
