As I turn 47 this weekend, I am feeling rather nostalgic, especially regarding old friends and relatives from my childhood... This incredible performance is rather emblematic of my current state... :) Master Capaldi with the SPACE CADETS... SHORT ENDS was a short film starring Master Capaldi in 1976, directed by Jamaican cultural ICON and Movie Star Esther Anderson. I still can not find footage of the movie to this day...any help is welcome...:) One could deduce; Lady Anderson met Master Capaldi through Chris Blackwell and Master Marley at Island Records in the mid-70s. Their film-making collaboration resulted in 2 musical compositions, written by both... "Short Ends" and the legendary "Elixir of Life"... On this OGWT show, the Band perform BOTH of these compositions... Here, we get the title track, which is a great example of Master Capaldi's incredible talent on the Piano... The performance features Ray Otuh Allen on killer Sax... Enjoy Loud...
