JIMMY BURNS "Can't Get Over (Cause I Can't Get Over You")
CHRSCD017 SOUL ON THE REAL SIDE #17 The Real Side team are back and this time in the fine company of premier soul expert RICHARD SEARLING! Richard presents a stunning new Spring collection of premium mid-tempo Northern and Crossover soulful delights. VOLUME 17 is once again packed with modern gems culled from the Charly archives and an array of US independent labels such a James VanLeer’s Golden Ear which gives us the album-only cut “I’m In Love With You” by Jackie Ross and Little Milton. Check out Rudy Love’s first ever reissue of his wonderfully obscure version of the Whispers song “Where Have You Been”, erroneously attributed to Tyrone Davis. And the beat goes on with Marvin Sims’ feel-good mellow-soul groove “Love Is On The Way” and the fabulous, previously unissued, remix of Phillip Ballou’s original demo “We’ll Be Together”. Betty Everett’s alternate take on “My Love To Lean On” also makes it’s debut along with Flavor’s Motown side “Don’t Freeze Up”. A top-draw collection!
