FUNKY INSTRUMENTAL FROM THE SOLID HITBOUND RECORDS EMPIRE COURTESY OF THE PARLIAMENTS. "ALL YOUR GOODIES ARE GONE" WAS ISSUED AS A VOCAL 45 FOR THE PARLIAMENTS IN '67 AND AS AN INSTRUMENTAL FOR LABEL MATE J.J. BARNES ONE YEAR LATER. BOTH SINGLES APPEARED ON REVILOT. GEORGE CLINTON AND CREW WERE READYING THE WORLD FOR WHAT WOULD BE SOME OF THE FUNKIEST AND WEIRDEST MUSIC TO COME OUT IN A LONG TIME-P FUNK. AND YES IT STARTED IN DETROIT!! (I MUST GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT'S DUE,CHICAGO HAS NO CLAIM ON THAT!). MY VID CONTAINS RANDOM PICTURES OF DETROIT NOSTALGIA. THIS IS JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG. THERE'S WAY MORE TO THE "D" THAN DEPICTED HERE. IT'S A COOL CITY NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT IT.

About The Parliaments

The Parliaments were an American vocal quintet from Plainfield, New Jersey, United States. Originally formed in the back room of a barbershop in 1956, the quintet was named after the cigarette brand. The Parliaments initially performed doo-wop music; after some early personnel changes their lineup solidified with George Clinton, Ray Davis, Fuzzy Haskins, Calvin Simon, and Grady Thomas.
