Thomas The Tank Trackmaster Volcano Drop & Lava Falls Train Crashes & Race

Watch out Thomas that Volcano is about to explode. Thomas & Friends Trackmaster Thomas's Volcano Drop is a toy train playset that features a Real Steaming Thomas and dangerous Volcanic adventure. The train set has good elevation and areas where Thomas can crash into the volcano when things go wrong. Volcanic rocks and lava are triggered and if the playset is reset correctly Thomas has an adventure inside the volcano and somehow bursts through a lava rock fall and escapes certain death. This is a fun playset which relies on a large featured piece which needs constant play to make work. Like many Thomas playsets there is a spiral track area, some points and almost enough straight track but in reality there is never enough. The most impressive aspect to this Thomas toy is the Real Steaming Thomas. To ramp up the fun I also add to Thomas's Volcano Drop a Trackmaster expansion pack called Lava Falls. This track pack can play out as a very small layout or be added to other playsets. When Lava Falls expansion pack is added it gives an additional railway that lets Thomas explore the Lava Falls that are triggered when Thomas passes by. Because I like to have fun I ramp up the action by adding extra rolling stock, a high speed TOMY Streamlining Thomas and have a train race with Thomas Percy and Diesel. Maybe this exposes the ultimate fun of this very different trip to Sodor Island. As always my son shows me that the absolute fun is just letting Thomas crash and burn in the dangerous volcano. Surely that's the best fun to have and if you like your toy trains in the danger zone this playset is perfect for you. This Thomas toy was purchased at Toys R Us but I also see it's available on Amazon and it's a $50 toy. Not bad considering it features a special Thomas The Tank.
