"THE FALCONS had two final singles on Big Wheel Records taken from sessions held at Detroit's United Sound Studios in 1967. "Love look in her Eyes" is another of those beating dancers that came so easily from those great session men the Funk Brothers. Love the saxes - especially the burping baritone. "Good Good Feeling" is an uptempo stomper which has had a fair amount of Northern action over the years. "Love You Like You Never Been Loved" is taken at a fair bit slower pace than Good Good Feeling but has the same urgent vocals and fine production values." John Ridley "All the sides recorded for Big Wheel (the first two Golden World and United Sound for the last two all under the guidance of Dale Warren) Good Good Feeling, with its unmistakeable intro and pounding beat ideal for the Northern Soul scene which also makes it highly collectable and a regular seller for three figures." "Standing On Guard", fabulous mid-tempo soul with great harmonies from the guys perfectly complimenting the lead of Sonny Monro. Standing on Guard was not only a smash locally but went top 30 R&B." "The Lupine 1964 release "Has It Happened Too You Yet" is much more in common with their subsequent more soulful inclined records."
The Funk Brothers were a group of Detroit-based session musicians who performed the backing to most Motown recordings from 1959 until the company moved to Los Angeles in 1972.
