These songs were from a 16mm film that was Directed by: Josef Berne and were used as filler material to be played in between movies at movie theaters in 1945.They were also shown for similar purposes on TV in the 1950s. The music and vocals were prerecorded (not done live). We are fortunate to have any surviving footage of Joaquin playing and the quality on this is better then most that I have seen.He is playing the first Bigsby Lap Steel that was built for him in late 1944.It was originally a double neck 6 string. But Joaquin had Paul Bigsby make it a dual 8 string by adding tuners to the end of each headstock.I am no Bigsby expert but I believe this guitar was eventually returned to Bigsby and no longer exist ...Enjoy The dates listed here are the release dates. My Chickashay Gal - vocals Smokey Rogers Oct 29 1945 Shame on You - vocals Patricia "Patsy" McMahon Oct 15 1945
