Unapologetically rooted in the 60's but infused with a boundless youthful energy, The Mentulls are a unique blues rock band with subtle proggy overtones. Formed in 2006, The Mentulls have performed with many great bands and artists including Wishbone Ash, Focus, Dr Feelgood, Jon Amor Blues Group, Aynsley Lister Band, Oli Brown Band, Sherman Robertson, Chantel McGregor, Larry Miller, and many more. The Mentulls made a great impact when playing on the main stages at The Hebden Bridge, Newark Blues and The Maryport Blues Festivals and appeared at this year's Skegness Rock & Blues Festival for the first time. January 2013 saw the band's first tour of The Netherlands. The band's latest studio album 'Time Flies' has received rave reviews including a 5 star rating from top London promoter Pete Feenstra. The band includes Andrew Pipe on Guitar and Vocals, Jamie Pipe on Keyboards and Nick Colman on Drums. Andrew Pipe, one of the most sought after young guitarists in the UK, was also nominated for a British Blues Award in 2012.
Sherman Robertson was an American blues guitarist and singer who has been described as "one part zydeco, one part swamp blues, one part electric blues and one part classic rhythm and blues."
