the rolling stones - the spider and the fly - fake instrumental - mono Edit (instr.mono) for headphones. I heard a fake instrumental version of this song on the bootleg "The legend of Emerald - complete studio sessions 1961-1966" (Mayflower MF-045/046/047/067/068). I decided to do it better, at least, the sound quality. You decide. "The spider and the fly" was first released in 1965 on the lp "Out Of Our Heads". In the UK released as b-side to "Satisfaction". In my opinion, this song (the one with vocals) is far far far better than "Satisfaction". THIS should have been their great hit... Listen to this fake (for I made it myself from the official release with vocals) instrumental version and compare it to the instrumental version of "Satisfaction". Big difference in what's going on instrumentally. The official release was recorded May 12 & 13, 1965. Released on "Out Of Our Heads" in 1965. The last Nanker/Phelge track to be released. Guitars: Brian Jones & Keith Richards. Lead vocals: Mick Jagger. Drums: Charlie Watts. Bass: Bill Wyman. Keyboards & percussion: Jack Nitzsche. Harmonica: Mick Jagger, which I doubt, for it much more sounds like Brian Jones playing harmonica, especially when you consider Mick Jagger's harmonica playing in sixties live recordings and in songs like "Like A Rolling Stones", all real bad sounding solos. Ian Andrew Robert Stewart (18 July 1938 – 12 December 1985) was a Scottish keyboardist and co-founder of the Rolling Stones. He was removed from the lineup in May 1963 at the request of manager Andrew Loog Oldham who felt he did not fit the band's image. He remained as road manager and pianist for over two decades until his death, and was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with the rest of the band in 1989.
