Emotionally Healthy Spirituality It’s impossible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature Most of us avoid conflict in the name of Christianity; ignore our anger, sadness, and fear; use God to run from God; and live without boundaries. What we need to learn is a biblical integration of emotional health and the spiritual practice of slowing down and quieting our lives to experience a firsthand relationship with Jesus. This is a spiritual revolution. R.E.M. was an American rock band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1980 by drummer Bill Berry, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and lead vocalist Michael Stipe, who were students at the University of Georgia.
