Andy Narell - March 18, 2021 - Anthony’s Cari-Jazz Artiste of the Day Dario Eskenazi is a pianist and film composer based in New York City. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Dario received early classical musical training before moving to the United States in 1985 to attend Berklee College of Music where he graduated with a major in Film Scoring. Dario is the pianist for the band Caribbean Jazz Project as well as several Andy Narell and Paquito D'Rivera albums. He has been featured with such artistes as Hiram Bullock, Dianne Schurr, Hendrik Meurkens, and Mongo Santamaria. Dario is currently Assistant Professor in the Film Scoring Department at Berklee College of Music. Andy Narell is a steel pannist, pianist, arranger, and composer. “Behind the Bridge” is Andy’s ninth album. The album explores the genres of Brazilian, Cuban, and Calypso music with solo pan, duets with piano, and quartets with bass and Afro-Cuban/Brazilian drumming featuring Luis Conte, and Paulinho Da Costa.
