In the World Where I Live - by Johnny Neel
Dedicated to Katheryn Hartley. In 2008, Katheryn Hartley was diagnosed with scoliosis, curvature of the spine. In a period of 4 months Katheryn's spine had gone from 51 to 87 degree curvature. In 2011, at the age of 11, this amazingly very active and very talented pre-teen was faced with a grueling surgery at an attempt to correct the 87 degree curvature. When Johnny Neel heard from his friend Bob Hartley (Katheryn's uncle) and learn, how through all of this unbelievable pain, Katheryn was able to find a special place of peace within that allowed her to continue to find joy in life, it inspired him to write the song "In the World Where I Live" for all children who suffer such a fate. Song was co-written by Johnny Neel and Angie Russell Commons; and performed by Johnny Neel - Vocals and Piano.
