You Got Me Up There ~ Tommy Hunt
The great Tommy Hunt from 1979 on the much derided Casino Classics label which specialised in Northern Soul reissues and so called 'Tailor made' tracks, a concept certain keepers of the faith struggle with. Seemingly only ever released as a single on this 45 (see the comments for more info on that!), it was tucked away as the last track on a three track EP with a cover version on the topside (only available on an album otherwise) and a reissue of a cover version as the other track. This zippy number slots straight in with a partucular sound some sections of the Northern Scene took to, others hated, a kind of 1976 Disco style of which there are very many examples. If it were rare on a US independent label it would be an expensive item - it deserves better. ......................A Metropolitan Soul Fave Rave ! #MetropolitanSoul @MetropolitanSoul
