Tiffany DeCastro presenter for the ECM Music Show which played on CTV in Christchurch New Zealand interviews legendary harmonica player and character Larry Adler. Lary was here promoting his new album "Glory of Gershwin" which featured duets with some of the worlds biggest stars such as Meatloaf, Elton John and Bono. He tells of his colourful life, working with Gershwin, and plays a stunning rendition of Summertime on piano and harmonica simultaneously. About Larry Adler
Lawrence Cecil Adler (February 10, 1914 – August 6, 2001) was an American harmonica player and film composer. Known for playing major works, he played compositions by George Gershwin, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Malcolm Arnold, Darius Milhaud and Arthur Benjamin. During his later career, he collaborated with Sting, Elton John and Kate Bush.
