📢 Hollywood Star Rhys Ifans supports local community efforts to buy Tafarn Sinc in Rosebush. ⭐⭐⭐ From Berlin, Germany, the actor Rhys Ifans has sent a message where he has given his support for a campaign to keep one of Wales's most famous pubs open. Sincarn's future at Rosebush near Maenclochog in Pembrokeshire has been unsure since it was placed on the market for £ 295,000. Last month, over 100 people voted in the area in favor of buying and running as a co-operative. The fundraising campaign continues and a number of prominent faces have given their support to the community. Rhys Ifans said in a message on the Facebook website that he was thinking of himself as 'a boy from Pembrokeshire'. He was born in Haverfordwest and has recently celebrated his 50th anniversary. Other celebrities have supported the efforts to save the pub as well as the broadcasters of Huw Edwards and Jamie Owen and the Trystan Llŷr opera singer. The pub was built in 1876, when the railway from Glunderwen to Rosebush was opened. Its original name was 'The Precelly Hotel' and to the present day outside the pub there is a reproduction of platform and signage cabin. The pub was closed in 1992 due to its poor condition, but local businessman Brian Llewelyn and his wife Brenda decided to refurbish and rename it in 'Pub Sinc Preseli' after the galvanized corrugated iron material used to W build. Those who lead the campaign to save Sincarn is Hefin Wyn, newspaper editor Clebran: "This shows that there is widespread support for the campaign and this community. Rhys comes to the pub regularly when it is in the area. "The celebrities like Rhys and others give their support to the campaign because the pub is iconic and unique." #RhysIfans
