We’re playing Outside Lands… Tonight is Inside Lands… Strange Lands… lol Other Tidbits: The band, who is scheduled to play at Outside Lands on Friday, also did a show at the Independent 2 nights before. The venue has a capacity of only 500, and everybody was excited to see them perform. Before and after the show, Beck took pictures with us in addition to signing my ‘Colors’ album, which was very nice. After the show I also bumped into guitarist Jason Falkner at the video arcade-themed bar next door who recognized me and said hi! Beck (after ‘Beercan’): I have a prediction… This show is going to get a little bit… discursive. I think you guys are going to hotbox the sh*t out of us tonight. So that’s on you… I probably won’t remember the lyrics… and I might need to get a chair at some point. lol (Before ‘Nicotine & Gravy’): So there’s this record that came out about 20 years ago, called Midnight Vultures… And there was a lot of confusion and perplexed reaction to that record, but I remember one of the few places we came when we were doing that tour, San Francisco really embraced that record. (Before ‘Girl Dreams’): The reason I’m playing it is because a friend of mine who knows Bill Murray says Bill Murray really likes this song… So I never really thought much of this song, but now I think it’s my crowning achievement. lol (Before ‘Earthquake Weather’): All right, this is one that we’ve… I don’t think we’ve ever really played it that much.
