Jazz and blues singer. Born July 17, 1939 in Shreveport, Louisiana, USA. Died March 19, 2021. Evans moved to Los Angeles in 1958, working local club dates. Her first released recordings was with Johnny Otis in 1969, with whom she toured extensively in the following years, including a recorded show at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1970.
